Account Deletion Guide

Important: Account deletion is permanent

Once you delete your account, all your data will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

How to Delete Your Account

Open Settings

In the HiByeFd app, navigate to your profile and tap on "Settings"

Find Account Actions

Scroll down to the "Account Actions" section at the bottom of the settings page

Tap "Delete Account"

Tap on the red "Delete Account" button

Confirm Deletion

Read the warning message carefully and confirm that you want to permanently delete your account

Final Confirmation

Provide final confirmation to complete the account deletion process

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, all of the following data will be permanently removed:

👤 Profile Data

• Username and display name
• Profile picture/avatar
• Email address
• University information
• Account settings

💬 Forum Activity

• All your forum posts
• All your comments
• All your upvotes
• Poll responses
• Images and attachments

💬 Messages

• All direct messages
• Group chat participation
• Chat history
• Voice messages
• Media shared in chats

👥 Groups

• Group listings you created
• Applications to groups
• Group memberships
• Group applications received
• Group management data

Before You Delete Your Account

Consider These Alternatives

• Take a break: You can simply stop using the app temporarily
• Privacy settings: Adjust your privacy settings to limit who can see your content
• Unsubscribe: If you have a premium subscription, you can cancel it without deleting your account
• Contact support: If you're having issues, our support team might be able to help

What Happens After Deletion

Immediate Effects

• You will be logged out of the app immediately
• Your profile will no longer be visible to other users
• You will stop receiving notifications
• Your subscription (if any) will be cancelled

Data Removal Timeline

• All data is deleted immediately and permanently
• No grace period or recovery option
• Backups are also permanently purged

If You Want to Return

• You will need to create a completely new account
• Your previous username may become available for reuse
• None of your previous data can be restored
